Why Not? Let's Have Some Fun!

Well this weekend hasn't been quite what I had expected, and its only Friday! Although we are two men down for the weekend, it's going to be great. I've decided that it's so much better being an optimist than anything else. I mean really. Try it for a day. Tell me how you like it. I am not perfect and there have been those days were you probably wanted to stay out of firing range, but I am going to try and work my hardest towards optimism. Here are some fun pictures to get you started!!
I'm at the track for 5 minutes and this is the sight I see. How beautiful!

2010 AMA Superbike calendar...here we come!

Jamie normally...I can't tell if he's trying for a GQ look or just mad.

Ok if you know Jamie, this is his normal look. He must have been going for GQ.

It does, in fact, beg the question, did someone actually create a need for the construction of such a sign?

There may not be many fans, but they are fanatics!

Whoa Roger...watch out!

Even though Jamie is not racing, he still signed autographs. What a good guy!

This local is definitely well local. No I can't say that, I've seen this look in L.A.

I know the feeling bud. I've had raccoon eyes before.

Hope this post made you smile. Use that smile and make someone else turn that frown upside down. Yes...I DID go there!

Photos from Project 1

Here are a few photos I took for my first project of photography class. Crazy. I love it. The assignment was just to mess around with the camera to get used to the settings.

Big Numbers

Today is my 100th posting to my blog. I can't believe it. It's taken me a while, but I made it to the big 1-0-0. Writing my 100th post makes me think about BIG numbers. One big number stood out to me the most:

"How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you."

In Psalm 139, God talks about his PRECIOUS thoughts towards us. Not the bad ones, the precious ones. And if he tried to count them, 'they would outnumber the grains of sand.' He's not just talking about the grains for sand in the kids playground down the street. He's not just talking about the beach that sits 20 minutes from where I live. His thoughts add up to all the grains of sand everywhere. Now that's a BIG number.

Even in my foolishness, he has these precious thoughts for me. How extremely lucky am I to have a friend like that. I can only hope that I will make my friend proud of me. That I will have those precious thoughts for the people around me. The ones who I adore and even the ones who get on my nerves. Hehe.

Big numbers. No number is bigger than the great and precious thoughts the Lord has for YOU!

Remembering the Good Things

“In that day you will say: "Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.”- Isaiah 12:4

This weekend has been filled with trials that I wasn’t necessarily prepared for. And the thing that bums me out the most is that I didn’t once go to my Father and tell him about it. I just got upset, wined and complained, and tried to move on. Only now, when I look at that verse do I realize that I don’t need to be having my little “moments” when there is so much to be thankful for. The Lord is so amazingly good and I often forget how much he has done for me to be able to have the relationship, the friendship with Him. He is a God that listens, that cares, that wants to lend his healing hand. I feel foolish for not coming to Him sooner, but according to Paul there is no condemnation in Jesus Christ.

So my outlook on today, no matter what life throws at me, is that I am thankful for the blessings and all the things the Lord has given me. I will declare the things the Lord has done in my life and be thankful for every one of them.
