Merry Christmas!!

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to say merry christmas!!! Its such a wonderful holiday. Its hard to believe that Christ would come down from heaven from his very comfy home to die for me. Its easy to say, hard to wrap your head around. Either way, this is a time to celebrate! Now my next favorite holiday...Easter!

Before the tree was decorated, I took a little picture in my festive hat.

I actually got Ben aka Scrooge to put on a Santa hat! YES!

Rookie of the Year

My Rookie of the Year

When I think about rookies in the sport of off-road racing, I generally think about a kid who has come up the ranks to finally race in his first professional season. This kid has been given lots of opportunity to experience the "off-road" competition and knows generally what to expect (to a certain point).

If there was an off-road for rookie of the year, I don't think it should have been awarded to a young-gun or the next big thing. I would in fact award the achievement to a 32-year-old supercross champion who made a very successful crossover to wonderful world of 2-hour long racing through rocks as tall as him and through trails as skinny as he is. Damon Huffman deserves to be recognized for his amazing journey during his first year as a professional off-road racer.

With that said and not that I have any authority at all, I want to say that Damon is Mr. Off-Road Rookie of the Year 2008 in my book.

Super Slacker Comes Back From The Dead

I'm sorry all that I have been slacking. I have been busy with work and moving. But I'm done with the excuses. I have come to the dark side....I joined facebook. Yes its true. I...who vowed not to be apart it all...gave in. I think facebook is a little cooler than myspace but whose actually counting. Hope you enjoy my photos from Vegas.

Ricky decorated his helmet to give him a little luck. It worked because he won the championship!!!

We are a tad tired after a long night.

Jesse's not so sure what i've done to his hair.

Chris and Carl love to wear matching colors. I say they should have been wearing green shirts.

So happy!

The happy couple.

Always having a good time!

And lastly, I went to a Lakers game with KILLER seats!

Ashley vs. Betting

This weekend I will be heading out to Vegas. Kawasaki has its last race of the year with the conclusion of the AMA EnduroCross Series at the Orleans Arena. I am really excited because we are up for a championship and we have done really well in this series.

With Vegas always comes a little gambling. I don't usually gamble and past scenarios are showing me that I should probably just walk away. Below is a picture of my lost bet when my vikings lost to the bears about a month ago. I had to wear the other teams jersey.

As much as I seem to have luck, I have realized that my life is just really blessed and God has sharpened my character with these losses. (That's for you James)

Well, I'll be putting a few bucks on red and possible 0 at the roulette table but other than that, i'll keep my betting to a minimum and cheer on the green squad on Saturday night.

Birthday and Being Silly

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to fill you in on some pictures from the long dinner we had at El Torito to celebrate wonderful Sara Thresher's birthday! Everyone I was sitting near was wildly entertaining in their own right. Have fun with these.

A birthday dinner wouldn't be complete unless the loud waiters come out and belt the birthday song!

Robby was happy with the meal. Yum Yum

Now for Kristie...She is, well, picky. Here she is making her special creation.

Ben and I being goofy. You can see it but I'm wearing a crocheted beanie by Robby Newton.

Here you can kind of see the beanie. It was a little too small.

I loved the candid shots I was getting of the newlyweds.

Just like this one!

And what is the ashleyblittle blog without a wacky and completely NOT serious picture from me!

It's Been A While...

Hello everyone,

I know it's been a while since I last posted, but I'd like to say that I have been very busy. Work and well work has been keeping the days full. I am ready for a vacation but I know that Christmas is just around the corner.

I don't want to forget to mention to people that don't get the Greer's email that Carina needs prayer. They had to go to Australia so she could have surgery. If you want me to send you Paul's emails, let me know. Thanks!

Now I have several random picture so please enjoy.

Alright, lets start with Rossco. He's going back to be with his family in Australia. We are going to miss him.

Ross showing off some antique Scott goggles. I think he's just using them as protection from the spaghetti sauce.

Really not much to say here. We are doing a skit for Halloween. Let's get in the spirit like Jason.

This is part of our decorations for halloween. They are ghost riders...get it. If you look closely, we put something special on Rogers left handlebar grip.

Now back to some Laguna pics. I really think that Garrett is sleeping.

A great team. The Siebenhaar's dressed to impress!

--------------
Last week I went out to beautiful Taft, CA and next to the race track, a guy had built a ramp where he was trying to break the record for longest jump. The ramp was ridiculous.

He's nuts...but i guess that's the point.

Taft is not exactly the best travel destination. Can you tell?

Josh Morros, who suffered a gnarly crash two months ago, came out to visit his teammates and friends. It was good to see him doing well after being in a coma for close to two weeks.

Ok Damon, you're supposed to keep the visor on the helmet.

Ricky, you're a bad ass with or without the championship.

Not sure if I've shown this pic. I'm trying to be cool. Not really working. Haha.

This is what I call Ben's model pose. So serious.

-----------
OK if you know my brother Shaun, be prepared to be tripped out. He went to something called the Love Fest...i think, and people kept coming up and calling him by a different name. He has this happen several times and I guess he looked just like someone else that was at the event. So they met up to take pictures. My brother is wearing the darker gray shirt.

Trippy huh?

Well that's all I have for now. I am ready for the weekend and all the fun at Josh's 2nd Birthday party. I hear there is going to be a bounce house. Watch out kids...I'm coming through!

Fun Times With Maverick

Last weekend was the Miramar Airshow in San Diego. I was like a little kid in a candy store. I couldn't believe how close the planes were to us. I love that kind of stuff. Check out the picks and try not to be too jealous that I was hanging with Maverick, Iceman, Hollywood, and all the people in the grandstands that thought they knew what they were talking about.

All planes need to have mouths.

Its amazing how close the Blue Angels get.

This was a plane that my grandfather used to fly in the Navy called a Corsair. It was pretty sweet. They had it flying with the F-16 and F-22.

Fat Albert

Fat Albert has landed

Blue Angels get ready for take off. (And they take off at the same time. Thats NUTS!)

Look at everyone waving to the Blue Angels. They are famous!

Next to the B-52 wing. The wing needs its own wheel when on the ground.

The whole B-52 plane

Enjoying the good times!

I love the big planes. They are so amazing!

Honestly, I don't know the purpose of the helicopter flying behind the plane. Call me stupid..I just don't know. It looked cool though.

This old plane was doing the craziest stuff. Stalling out in the air and just lettin her fall out of the sky.

And of course...parachuters.

This plane was HUGE. Like HUGE. Seriously HUGE!

Look at the poeple...they look so tiny.

The F-22 and F-16

And yes, I'm still enjoying the new haircut.
