Now a few things on the list I wanted to point out.
RJ's Banana Pancakes = Crazy Delicious.
If you have not tried the breakfast at RJ's in the Dana Point Harbor, you are missing out my friend. It's ok, there is still hope for all you rookie RJ eaters out there.
Bon Fire = Total relaxation
I usually hold a few bon fires over the course of the summer but this year I have a big girl job that requires lots of travel. This past weekend was my first weekend in over a month to be at home with no plans. So naturally i wanted to do something fun, but also relaxing. And I did just that. Threw the frisbee around in the dark, roasted some marshmellows (Seriously Dani, the burnt ones are disgusting...I don't know how you eat them:), and vegged out in front of the fire as Laura used her "Pyro" skills to make the fire even bigger with the lighter fluid. Yess!
Ride with Sasha = Memories of the Feffs
I needed some much overdue alone time and since I had hi-jacked Jason's truck, I took my bike down to Dana Point and rode to the magical cove behind the Ocean Research Place (I just made that name up..not sure what it's called). My new bike Sasha rode great and I was reminded of all the fun times the Fiffer Feffer Feffs had rode to the cove at midnight. Oh, the simpler times.
Church = Feels Like Home
After being away for the past four weekends, it was really refreshing to be able to come in and feel like you never left. Being able to jump right back in with the worship band made me feel like I had never left. Jesus is awesome!
Here are some pics from the weekend:
Dana Point was the official site of the Dewey Weber Longboard Classic. The girls were competing when we walked up. Some of them were pretty good considering the waves they were working with. (The sets weren't very good)
You can see the three surfers just waiting for those three foot waves to come in.
It's either Aquafina or Smart Water for Dani.
Here is the famous RJ's Cafe.
These are the moments that make me so incredibly happy I live near the beach.Dani and I enjoying the sunset!
Apparently Dani didn't realize the sun had already gone down. We had to tell her it was dark out and she didn't need the sunglasses anymore.
Stole their shot!
The fire was a little bare because SOMEONE forgot the extra firewood. I guess Bank of America was all out of firewood, huh?
